50 years ago, one of Doctor Who’s most significant and celebrated stories had its one and only broadcast. It has never been seen since. The story is not only considered one of the finest in the series’ history. It was also the debut of the Second Doctor, Patrick Troughton.

Although the tapes were lost long ago, now, with the help of surviving photographs and footage, BBC Worldwide are delighted to announce that a brand new black and white animation, accompanied by an original audio recording, will be released 50 years to the day after the story’s original broadcast.
Episode one of The Power of the Daleks will be available to buy from BBC Store on Saturday 5th November, and the remaining episodes will be released over the following five days.
